Principal Water Quality Scientist
Golder has a rewarding and exciting opportunity available for an experienced Principal Water Quality Scientist to join our dynamic team in Auckland.
We are interested in hearing from applicants who are specialists in their field of water quality chemistry, eco-toxicity and other related services.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Environment Group Manager and the wider team in a consultant capacity to continuously promote and enhance the services the group provides.
Golder Associates services a broad range of global and local clients and the role provides the opportunity to work on diverse projects both nationally and across the globe.
_Key responsibilities will include:_
+ Lead by example with regards to demonstrating your commitment to health, safety and environment and with respect to desired behaviors towards others including respect, caring, honesty, constructive feedback, accountability and humility.
+ Make a significant contribution to the production of high quality EIAs related to water management and ecological effects and other related technical assessments which promote management and mitigation solutions that are practical and environmentally sustainable.
+ Working with the wider team to design urban and industrial stormwater and water quality solutions to achieve positive environmental outcomes.
+ Make a significant contribution to the growth and marketing of Golder’s Environment team, specifically water management and ecology, and the integration of skills that results in commercially successful environmental services.
+ Actively build Golder’s market share in water management across New Zealand
+ Ensure the projects you manage are profitable and deliverables meet, or exceed client expectations, or otherwise work successfully as part of project teams that enables these key outcomes and supports the project manager.
+ Make a significant contribution to the preparation of proposals with defined scopes, milestones and budgets that enables the profitable provision of integrated environmental, water management and/or ecological services.
+ Make a significant contribution to the development of a positive Environment team culture where all staff feel valued, engaged and fulfilment from their work environment.
+ Proactively engage with team building tasks, business development and delivery of project milestones as directed by the Environment Group Manager.
Applicants shall be qualified with a bachelor’s degree, or higher with a minimum of 10 years of consulting industry experience. Working in a dynamic environment, it is expected that you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a diverse group of people across varied disciplines.
