Processing Officer, On Call as and when required

We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and a great work ethic to join our Taranaki Operations Depot based in Smart Road, on a casual on call basis. Our On Call staff provide crucial cover during our busy times and if employees are away sick or are on annual leave. 

We work hard as a team, where getting to know your colleagues and having fun on the way is all part of the role.

As a Processing officer, you are critical in ensuring our customers’ mail and parcels are sorted, processed and dispatched correctly to be delivered on time.

In this role, you are part of the engine that drives the New Zealand Post business, directly contributing to our customers’ experience. From a supportive team environment, to training & development opportunities we can deliver you an awesome career!

In this dynamic role you will:

  • Be available to cover our Monday – Friday 3.30pm to 6pm, but note that this could be extended during peak times to 3pm – 6.30pm
  • Be a natural team player that enjoys working within a team to put our customers first
  • Be comfortable in a very physically demanding role 
  • Have an eye for detail. Do you get job satisfaction from getting things right first time to a high level of quality?
  • Have a good geographical knowledge of New Zealand
  • Flexible to do on-call, casual role
