About the role 

The roles are based in Wellington.

This is a hands on position with the unique opportunity to support and contribute to the development of ANZ’s Procurement function. You will support the Procurement function and the business with a wide variety of procurement activities.

We have two roles available with one a permanent placement and the other a 12 month fixed term arrangement to cover a secondment from within our team.

The Procurement Operations Specialist will be involved in the following activities:

  • Supporting procurement process design and improvement initiatives
  • Supporting the business to enable compliant purchasing
  • Educate and support the business to improve all aspects of Operational Contract Management
  • Support spend analytics across commodities and business units to identify potential cost reduction opportunities
  • preparing Procurement metrics
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of supplier payment issues
  • Update and maintain procurement intranet pages and training materials
  • Provide reporting and strategic analysis on current/ future spend.
  • Support supplier selection processes such as RFI, RFQ and RFPs
  • Support contract review process to ensure compliance and input from all relevant stakeholders including Finance, IT, Legal, Information Security and Risk
  • About you

    To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Experience with procure-to-pay systems is desirable
  • Have an interest in learning about the Procurement profession
  • Able to work independently with strong teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience training business stakeholders on processes and policies
  • Effective problem solving, planning, and project management skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Highly organized multi-tasker who can prioritize in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Process and customer service driven with a self-starter mentality.
