Job DescriptionGreat opportunity to make a real difference, making a strategic contribution to the underlying profitability of CHEP NZ.Are you a forward-thinking Procurement specialist looking to join a global ASX listed blue chip organisation and take the next step in your career?As part of the Global Procurement team, your role will be to develop and execute direct, indirect and logistics spend sourcing strategies to enable the delivery of value to the CHEP New Zealand business. Based at our Auckland(Wiri) office, this role reports to the Director, Procurement APAC.This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract role.The key responsibilities of this role include:Leading and managing the development of spend sourcing plansProactively managing innovative supplier relationshipsSetting up supplier contractsDeveloping high quality KPI’s to measure supplier performanceSupporting strategic projects related to product developmentActively participating in business planning and product development processesThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or a related discipline. Procurement or Supply Chain qualificationsSolid Logistics and direct procurement experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environmentAbility to build strong relationships with suppliersStrong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skillsA self-starter, curious and able to work autonomously at timesPreferred EducationBachelorsPreferred Level of Work ExperienceLevel has not been specified
