The team:

These positions sit in the Infrastructure Tower and are domain based:

  • Identity & Access Management (IDAM) & Public Key Infrastructure (PKI);
  • Gateway.

The role:

As a Product Owner, you will act as the voice of the customer. You will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, as well as a strong understanding of your domain – seeking and providing direction and leadership to the product team. You will be accountable for product development and continual improvement across the entire product life cycle and all security environments. You will also work with your fellow product owners and product managers across domains to ensure product development is aligned to NZDF strategy and vision to ensure that mutually beneficial goals are achieved.

Technical skills:

Based on the domains, you will have knowledge and experience in:

  • Identity and Access Management – PKI essential;
  • Gateway – Firewalls, proxies.

Additional skills:

Experience in, or knowledge of:

  • Creation of sustainable and evolving products across the life cycle;
  • Communication and presentation skills;
  • Stakeholder collaboration and management;
  • Prioritisation of requirements and backlog management;
  • Agile ways of working;
  • Commercial and financial management;
  • Strong team leadership and development skills;
  • Understanding of the Portfolio and Programme business planning processes and how this relates to roadmap development and delivery.
