About the role

We have a secondment or fixed term opportunity for someone to step up or across into a Programme Coordinator role in MBIE’s Digital, Data and Insights (DDI) group.

You will be part of the Insights and Data Transformation team and report to the Chief Data and Insights Officer.

You will coordinate across various initiatives and projects, including planning and reporting, secretariat support for governance and advisory groups, coordinating communications and stakeholder engagement activities, and providing administrative support for the team and work programme. 

We are looking for someone with a passion for bringing structure to fast-moving projects and programmes. You will thrive on collaboration, continuous improvement and generating new ideas and ways of doing things.

About the group:

Insights and Data Transformation (IDx) leads a cross MBIE strategic change programme that aims to empower MBIE to transform New Zealand’s data into insights and action to achieve our priorities.

MBIE’s stewardship of data and use of insights plays a pivotal role in our success to grow NZ for all. MBIE is on a journey to becoming a data and evidence led organisation. Since 2019, there has been a clear roadmap of initiatives to reach ‘data readiness’. In 2021, this roadmap is being refreshed to take MBIE to the next level.

IDx leads change by envisioning the future and setting the strategy for data and insights. We challenge thinking by identifying future trends, monitoring risks and championing improvement and innovation. We connect the dots by showing public sector data leadership and enabling collaboration. We get it done right by monitoring progress and measuring maturity.
