About the group:

Insights and Data Transformation (IDx) leads a cross MBIE strategic change programme that aims to empower MBIE to transform New Zealand’s data into insights and action to achieve our priorities.

MBIE’s stewardship of data and use of insights plays a pivotal role in our success to grow NZ for all. MBIE is on a journey to becoming a data-ready and insights-led organisation.  Since 2019, there has been a clear roadmap of initiatives to reach ‘data readiness’.  In 2020, this roadmap is being refreshed to take MBIE to the next level.

IDx works at a strategic level to enable the delivery of MBIE’s data-readiness strategy and roadmap.  This programme includes 12 multi-disciplinary projects across five focus areas, including both technical delivery and cultural change projects. Projects connect people across MBIE using a range of methodologies including Agile, Design Thinking, Prince2 and MSP.

Why work for us:

This is an opportunity to work in a rewarding and challenging environment, in a collaborative and results-driven team that also enjoys a fun and sociable environment.

MBIE is one of New Zealand’s largest, most influential and most diverse public sector agencies.  This means that we are able to offer significant opportunities for developing experience across a broad variety of areas.

As an award winning and world-leading organisation, our focus on continuous business improvement means we value innovation and new ideas.

As part of MBIE, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.
