Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role

We are looking for a Programme Lead to join Biosecurity New Zealand in a permanent role within the Pest Management Group.

In this role you will work in the National Wilding Conifer Control Programme, a successful collaboration between central and local government, landowners, farmers, forestry owners, iwi, researchers, and community trusts. 

You will be responsible for maintaining oversight and delivery of key areas of work, namely programme process, policy, planning, and reporting.

You will bring your experience, along with your ability to get stuff done and your enjoyment of working in a busy environment where no two days are the same. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Proven experience in leading planning and delivery of large scale and complex programmes/projects, including working through remote teams
  • Proven decision-making experience and demonstrated leadership in co-ordinating and integrating projects
  • Strategic planning and programme/project management skills (5+ years relevant experience) and proven experience in development of detailed project documentation
  • Experience establishing effective processes and systems to manage and monitor work programmes
  • Experience of working in a partnership environment
  • Significant experience managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • High level oral and written communication and presentation skills. With a demonstrated ability to convey information and ideas clearly and accurately, in a way that meets the needs of the audience

The Salary for this role is circa $92,073 to $108,321 depending on skills and experience.
