Inland Revenue plays a vital role in government with a mission to contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of New Zealand. Our Business Transformation Programme team is charged with ensuring that New Zealanders can pay and receive their taxes and entitlements in a simpler and faster way, as well as being a world-class revenue organisation.
To be successful in this role you must be able to multi-task and manage your time effectively to ensure you meet the critical reporting deadlines, manage your own work and ensure you have captured the interdependencies across the other workstreams that link to your plans.
On a day to day basis you will be involved in:
Developing, managing and maintaining the detailed workstream plan including milestones, deliverables and dependency management
Managing workstream-level risks and issues
Managing the priorities of the workstream lead/project managers and their teams
Maintaining project information, documentation and reporting (to deadlines)
Ensuring adherence to PMO requirements, and working closely with the PMO team
Preparing change requests and anticipating impacts across the workstreams; and
Meeting co-ordination and minute taking.
You’ll offer us your:
High level of competence (intermediate level or above) using MS Project – capable of developing, understanding and maintaining complex project plans
Strong communication and relationship management skills to work successfully with a wide variety of professionals
Ability to self-manage, prioritise and organise your work and naturally take ownership of critical tasks and deadlines.
