As part of our aggressive growth strategies, we are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join our Auckland office.

You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, providing direct support to our COO, Operations Team and Technical Manager.

Ideally, you should have knowledge in our field of expertise and be able to demonstrate at least 2 years in Project Management role/s. You will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to think on your feet and work under pressure and be proficient in all of the Microsoft Suite including MS Project. Strong communication skills are essential for this role.

While you?ll be based in Auckland, there will be plenty of opportunity to put your skills to work for clients across the country and in the Asia/Pacific region. 

  What you?ll be doing

  • Development and management of project budgets and assume overall responsibility for all project management and administration
  • Effectively set up, implement, and deliver project in line with project scope, timeframe and pre-agreed budget.
  • Assume overall responsibility for raising, tracking and managing any delays to the timing of each stage, including dependencies not being met. 
  • Analyse all risks and assess the impact to the overall project completion, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events to initiation mitigation action.
  • Management of programme variations, delays and extensions
  • Ensure required documentation is created and circulated on time through the right channels and that stakeholder processes are followed to mitigate financial and other risks to Kodum.
  • Undertake all project administration, including SSSP?s, Change control, Implementation Plans etc
  • Reconcile all projects financials and raise all project related invoices.
  • Setup and hold project meetings with internal and external parties as required.
  • Provide project status updates to internal and external parties as required.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure adequate resources are allocated to the project as required plus implement and manage any subcontractors as required.
  • Ensure that resources are managed efficiently on a day to day basis by allocating specific tasks to each team, overseeing progress and managing any issues or delays that arise. Ensure effective utilisation of resources and maintain momentum and motivation of the teams.
  • Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement, budget or timeline if required.
  • Develop contacts and manage relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors,
  • Ensure external supplier costs are within project budget and escalate where appropriate.
  • Keep the stakeholders informed of progress and set and manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
  • Set up, maintain, and close hard and soft copy project files and ensure important documentation is stored in hard and soft format including proposals, contracts, budgets and any other client information.
  • Undertake project management within established projects management processes.
  • Ensure all projects are run in line with established project budget and report any anomalies to senior management.
  • Arbitrate and resolve conflict and interface problems within the project.
  • Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties. Gain acceptance and sign-off from required parties when closure of a milestone is attained and or an area is handed over. Ensure responsibility for the completed area is then formally handed over and accepted by the client.
