New Zealand’s relationship with Germany has strong foundations, with bilateral linkages covering trade, investment, science, education, people-to-people links, security and defence, and the creative arts. Germany is our 6th most important trading partner and the largest economy within the EU. The New Zealand government is looking to strengthen and deepen existing links, taking the relationship between our Governments, peoples, and businesses to new heights.
As part of these efforts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is launching an exciting new programme to connect the next generation of German and Kiwi entrepreneurs and business leaders.
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead this and to develop reciprocal visits for entrepreneurs and business leaders from New Zealand and Germany. The outcomes you will achieve include:
To achieve this you need an understanding of what makes entrepreneurs and business leaders tick, a high level of coordination and an ability to manage stakeholders from a range of industries. Evaluation, event planning and reporting and budget management are also key performance indicators.
Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification or relevant experience in project management and knowledge of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in either New Zealand or Germany. An understanding of current issues affecting New Zealand’s relationship with Germany and experience of living or working in Germany is desirable.
