What you will do
This position manages and leads capital and operating funded projects (from $10,000 up to $5 million in value) at the base level.
The role requires the use of project management methodologies and multi-stakeholder management to ensure that the projects support the delivery of NZDF outputs.
You will be responsible for input into project development and planning and then once approval is given, ensuring that allocated operating funded projects are delivered to their successful conclusion.
What we need
We are seeking a person who will bring some strong technical skills to this role. You may be working in the civil sector, architecture, electrical industry or mechanical engineering. This experience enables you to understand the context of the projects.
In addition to this experience you will bring a good understanding of contract management under NZS 3910. Strong working relationships are key in this role as you will be managing expectations. Being a confident communicator you will be able to work across the many levels of our organisation. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and requires a high level of organisational skills.
You will be joining an awesome team who work well together and who understand innovation. This is a base centric model which may see you at times involved with work at Papakura and Whenuapai.

Who we are
Estate and infrastructure are critical enablers for the delivery of NZDF military capabilities and the support it provides to other government agencies and the community.
The current estate is a complex network of approximately 81,000 hectares and 5,000 buildings spread across nine camps and bases, two large land training areas and various regional locations.
