Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is responsible for providing and maintaining the certainty of private property ownership by recording survey and land title information and making this information available to support economic activity. Our Christchurch Office is seeking someone, who enjoys working in a process based analytical environment to add to the dynamic of the team.

The role of a Property Rights Analyst (Survey) is to validate and approve cadastral survey plans prepared by private survey firms, and integrate the data into New Zealand’s spatial database of property boundaries. We are a continuous improvement focussed organisation and our customers are central to everything we do so if you are a positive and proactive individual you will thrive within our culture.

The Property Rights Analyst position could be a fantastic opportunity for someone who has past experience working within a validating/processing environment, or it could be equally suited to a smart and capable individual who has the capability to step up and learn new skills. We understand that our Property Rights Analyst positions and the context of the work you will be doing within these roles is unique, so we have a well developed and thorough induction/training programme to ensure you are supported from the day you join our team.  


To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate, or have;

  • A high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to research, comprehend that information, retain and apply across a range of circumstances
  • A strong understanding of spatial information, geography and/or maths would be advantageous.

We are ideally planning to have the new member of our team join us in mid to late November.  We are looking at interviewing short listed candidates around late October so we will be reviewing applications as they are submitted.
