    Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $18.3 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

    About the role  

    Earlier this year we announced Te Rautaki Rawa Kura – the School Property Strategy, which shares our vision and direction for school property management. To help implement the strategy we have created a number of new positions to ensure that we have the right foundation and alignment of functions to support implementation of Te Rautaki Rawa Kura.

    Reporting to either a Regional Infrastructure Manager or an Infrastructure Manager, a key focus of this role is supporting the Asset Management property team across the region which includes the processing of funding applications/payments and property plans. In addition, fostering and managing external and internal relationships by responding to queries and information requests in a timely and informative manner.

    About you  

    You will demonstrate a mix of coordination skills and experience in a property team within a large and complex delivery organisation is desirable.

    To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data management processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly developed relationship management skills
  • Experience working with office and financial systems
  • Experience in liaising with stakeholder groups
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
