To thrive you will enjoy working at pace, and have a high attention to detail.In this role you will support the Finance Manager with an annual spend around $60-$70 million. The Purchasing Specialist role is the customer face for M. bovis. purchasing including day-to-day ordering of products, confirming orders, managing suppliers, and updating the P2P system. This role will provide guidance on first class purchasing practice, assist with any customer and supplier queries, and ensure all business directions are adhered to. The Purchasing Specialist role will challenge a systems thinker keen to be involved in innovation and improvement projects.The M. bovis programme operates New Zealand wide and this role can be based in Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch or Invercargill.Skills and Experience │Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako You’ll be knowledgeable of financial systems activities; process orientated and have an ability to build strong working relationships with multiple layers of stakeholders. You will have a strong customer service ethos, confident to provide advice, support, and information. Experience in procurement in a large corporate environment will be an advantage as will your passion for developing efficient and effective business processes.To succeed in this role you’ll bring the following:• Experience in managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders• Knowledge of financial systems activities• Highly effective influencing and negotiation skills• Experience in financial systems reporting• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Resilience, tenacity, and adaptability to deal with challenging and fast-moving situations• IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office Suite at a high level• Previous experience in a procurement role (desirable but not essential)• Experience with purchasing/procurement software (desirable but not essential)About MPI │Mō Tātou At MPI we are responsible for ‘Growing and Protecting New Zealand’.
