In order to assure high levels of quality, the QE operates across all phases of the SDLC, striving to shift defect identification and resolution as left as possible in the process. With a penchant for automation and through the use of testing frameworks, common tools, processes and metrics, the QE will enable our teams to deliver software and services more rapidly (continuously), without sacrificing quality, customer satisfaction, or operational stability.The QE will test both functional and non-functional aspects of the system and work closely with Software Engineers and Architects to advise on corrective action or the optimal way to achieve desired quality levels.The QE role, along with Software Engineers and SRE, will help drive improvements to SDLC through metrics/measurements and drive improvements to tools for Change Management and CI/CDThe role will ensure that quality is part of everyone’s jobKey Accountabilities:Develop Test Strategies and Plans in conjunction with App Engineering, Architecture and Prod Arch. This includes Data creation and management, as well as Environment stewardship and management.Identify regression tests for future regression scenariosIdentify and assure creation of re-usable, automated testsInfluence Change Mgt, CI/CD, tools integrationModify SDLC to assure proper adherence to Eng Handbook (including Security)Execute all test cases, and detect defects earlyPretest and validate deployment plans with steps to be takenExecute post-deployment verification plans and record resultsExecute resilience testing plan and resultsGenerate code quality reportPut code through fortify scans via automationAssure at least 80% unit test coverageEstablish common defect severity definitions across the company so that there is alignment between service tribes.Complete Web accessibility testing with no open violations for customer facing web interfaces (WCAG)Ensure end-customer needs and associated value chain to drive processes and practices to ensure flawless customer experience.Complete application vulnerability and penetration testing with no active violationsRaise any issues with developers and product ownersWork with SRE to implement tests that monitor a system’s operational health.Create test automation suite and design necessary documentation for automated processesShorten and amplify feedback loops to deliver products faster and with higher qualityBuild, champion and embody a culture of quality-first mindset.Participate in the local and global QE guild.Lead by example and live by the values of Equifax Deliver on any other responsibility given by your managerSelection Criteria: While the general selection criteria (the bolded headings below) for all roles as part of the Technology transformation are the same, the below bullet points are provided to give you a little more context in responding to the selection criteria.
