Quantity Surveyor Jobs in Auckland Recruiting by Fletcher Construction

We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 9 month fixed term contract. The key to being successful in this role lies in a proven track record within the construction sector as a Quantity Surveyor and ideally with local experience. Responsibilities will include budget and cost control, forecasting, development of subcontractor and supplier agreements, claims management, commercial risk management and reporting as required by the project. As well as being able to roll your sleeves up and become involved at all levels of the project, we want someone who is commercially savvy coupled along with the ability to step back from the detail and look at the big picture. You will need to be someone with high levels of initiative and the ability to sense and seek out issues as well as being able to address them accordingly. You will be practical, adaptable, have an eye for detail, and confidently liaise across a range of stakeholders. We are looking for someone with the following attributes

Fit out, civil or services experience 

Ideally 5 years of experience in a QS role

Experience in a large construction/multi project environment

Strong computer-based skills, particularly in programmes like Excel. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to think, plan and show initiative.

A natural ability to search out and develop strong professional relationships with a range of people at varying levels.
