He angitūtanga: About the Role

As our next Ranger, Heritage and Visitors, you will be responsible for:

  • Project Management
  • Management of facilities, amenities and heritage sites
  • Contractor Management
  • Providing visitor Information
  • Visitor hazard management systems
  • Construction and maintenance of sites and assets
  • Preparation, planting and maintenance of restoration sites
  • Monitoring the delivery of the assigned work plan and reporting progress and relevant issues

 

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for

We are looking for a committed team player to join us to work collaboratively with the wider community, local whanau, hapu and iwi to understand and care for what they value most. You will need to bring initiative to solve unexpected issues as they arise and strong communication skills to work effectively with a range of people.

Required:

Specialist skills and experience within one or more of the following areas:

  • Project management
  • Visitor information
  • Visitor risk and hazard management systems
  • Construction

Desired:

  • A current First Aid certificate
  • Building knowledge
  • Able to interpret GIS information
  • Experience in Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS)
  • Confident with Microsoft programmes.
