We currently have an exciting opportunity for a visitor centre supervisor to join our Queenstown based team.


The Role

The visitor centre supervisor plays a key role towards achieving visitor centre goals. As our next Visitor Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising staff in the operation of the visitor centre including planning and scheduling work. You will also need to actively engage with local communities and key stake holders. It is crucial to lead by example by contributing to our strong safety-first environment and continuous improvement culture.


What are we looking for?

  • An ability to innovate and maximise the visitor centre opportunities to enrich the visitor experience.
  • Strong leadership and an ability to support team culture;
  • An ability to use Excel and have experience in retail;
  • Continuous improvement of performance and efficiencies;
  • An ability to maintain and supervise a professionally presented visitor centre;
  • An ability to prepare staff rosters to ensure staffing levels are maintained;
  • An ability to prepare accurate cash handling records report on and maintain financial records;
  • An ability to lead recruitment panels for fixed term staff and recruit short term and casual staff involvement in wider operations; and
  • An ability to participate in local emergency services including Search and Rescue and Fire.
