What you will do
As Receptionist Administration and Events, you will provide prompt reception, office support and events management within a science and technology focused organisation. Most international guests visit the facility as part of The Technical Cooperation Programme (TTCP) which is a forum for defence science and technology collaboration among Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
The receptionist plays a pivotal role in ensuring NZDF’s international reputation is enhanced and maintained within one of the largest collaborative science technology organisations in the world.
What we need
We are looking for a career administrator who can bring significant experience in a range of administrative functions including:
You have exceptional customer service skills and take pride in your appearance. Your prior experience has equipped you with excellent planning and coordination skills enabling you to organise workflow and determine priorities.
You have a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and good keyboard skills with the ability to learn new systems with ease. Having a high level of integrity you are comfortable working with discretion and confidentiality.
Who we are
The Defence Technology Agency (DTA) is a business unit established to provide applied research, exploratory development, and policy studies on science, technology and related areas with application to military technology, force development and operations. The Agency may be required to be involved in, or undertake on behalf of the Services, all aspects of investigation, development and introduction into Service of defined initiatives. This may include, but is not confined to, primary scientific investigation, experimentation, simulation, prototype development and product improvement, product or process development and commercialisation.
The DTA is also the primary NZDF agency with responsibility for developing, managing and enhancing all aspects of scientific and technical liaison, coordination and cooperation with external-to-Defence agencies (national and international) and similar agencies within the Defence Forces of other nations. This will include developing, enhancing and maintaining international links with similar specific defence technology establishments of other nations.
