This is a Monday to Friday role, standard business hours.
What we need
We are seeking a person who has good administration skills combined with experience as a dental assistant. You will have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise effectively. In terms of computer skills you have an intermediate level across the Microsoft Office Suite and great knowledge/use of dental patient computer software.
As an experienced dental assistant you will bring experience as a chair side assistant including techniques and dentist support, experience in infection control and particularly cross infection control while maintaining knowledge of regulations and standards.
Suitable qualifications are an NZDA Dental Assistants Course and/or an NZDF Dental Assistants Course, qualified to level 2 NZ Resuscitation Council and a current Sterilisation Certificate.

Defence Dental Services provide clinical services which are an essential part of holistic health services in the NZDF. In particular, proactive preventive based oral health services with an emphasis on restoring tooth form and function, managing conditions that affect the supporting tissues of the teeth and preventing future oral health problems. The provision of services of this nature ensures that personnel present a low oral health risk in both operational and non-operational settings.
