Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) makes sure New Zealand has accurate information about where people and places are, that people have confidence in their property rights and Crown property is well managed for future generations.
With your previous background in government recruitment, you’ll be familiar with the ins and outs (and patient with the occasional challenges) of recruiting for a public sector organisation. You will be confident to competently support and guide our Hiring Managers through their upcoming recruitment rounds and ensure we are reflecting best practice every step of the way.
LINZ is undertaking a high profile and exciting transformation of our service offerings, meaning our recruitment volumes have really taken off and we’re recruiting for some genuinely interesting and varied roles.
To support this busy and exciting period of recruitment and process improvement, we have a position available for a Recruitment Advisor to join us on a 6-month fixed term contract and support our exciting STEP Programme.
This role offers the chance to work alongside our Senior Recruitment Advisor (very friendly, slightly accident-prone) and our HR Business Partners (very friendly, VERY committed to regular caffeine consumption) to actively contribute to the development and ongoing implementation of our new & improved LINZ Recruitment process within our large-scale, IT focussed rebuild of Landonline.
Ideally, you’ll understand Agile work principles and will have worked in an Agile environment previously. You will have had exposure to large-scale IT transformation and implementation projects and a strong understanding of the roles that we’ll be recruiting for to support our own project.
Our hiring managers have previously been operating off a “leader-led” recruitment model so don’t ask for an overwhelming amount of handholding from their recruitment advisor. We are, however, aiming to create and provide comprehensive and helpful skill development resources for any managers who would like some additional help with recruitment process. You’ll need to be incredibly hands-on with the design and creation of innovative and clear supporting materials to a high and enduring quality. If you were someone with an eye for design & layout, who is tolerant of Australian slang and would be willing to kindly assist with any pronunciation queries, this would be a bonus.
Your ad writing skills should be described as “snooze fest free.” A lot of our roles are quite technical so having the ability to look past the stock standard information in the PD to tease out the candidate attraction factors are & write about them in an appealing way is a must.
This is an incredibly busy time for LINZ so it’s absolutely essential that you be someone who is self-motivated, proactive and has a “knuckle down & get it done” attitude, while still maintaining your attention to quality and the tenacity to role model best practice recruitment principles for our leaders.
To apply, please click “Apply Online.” You’ll be taken through to our LINZ Careers Centre where you’ll be able to review further information about the responsibilities and accountabilities of this role in the Position Description. You’ll be able to complete your online application form and upload a copy of your CV/Cover Letter. Please keep in mind when including your CV to specifically highlight the capabilities and skills listed in the above ad and the position description.
Applications close Friday 13th March 2020.
