  • Summary:

The Department is seeking applicants for a new regionally based Health and Safety Advisor role, located in Dunedin or Invercargill. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, skilled and motivated health and safety person to work in a diverse organisation with a wide range of work; from the mountains to the sea, and everything in between. There are few organisations that would have the breadth of opportunities in the field of health and safety that the Department of Conservation can offer you.

The focus of the role, which is one of four Regional Health and Safety Advisor roles in the Department, is to support Directors and Managers, with a particular focus on critical risks, as well as supporting the engagement of workers in health and safety, so that our health and safety culture is further supported and strengthened.  You will need to have experience in these themes and have excellent communication skills covering a broad range of people.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.

Please apply online via the DOC Careers Centre.  Applications must include a cover letter, CV and evidence of the required capabilities as per the role/project description.

For any queries, please contact Mike Massaar, mmassaar@doc.govt.nz, or telephone 027 4720812.

Applications close at 5pm on Monday, 24 February 2020.

DOC is committed to a diverse workforce that represents the communities we serve, and to creating an inclusive workplace culture.
