Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children, currently has the opportunity for a Regional Management Accountant to join our high performing and innovative team in the Regional Hawke’s Bay Office.
Our goal is to establish a multiagency approach to protecting and caring for New Zealand’s tamariki and rangatahi. We aim to adapt and improve the lives of tamariki and their whānau through creating the right environment, with the right people, for our tamariki and rangatahi to flourish.
This role sits within the Funding and Performance Group who are responsible for ensuring that Oranga Tamariki’s external financial and non-financial obligations and internal finance management processes are delivered to best achieve the group’s business objectives.
In this role you will be expected to operate in a supportive role in order to help achieve our goals and demonstrate our values as follows:
You will provide trusted, insightful and comprehensive financial advice to your relevant business areas and maintain financial integrity of results and provide value-add consolidated reports that are accurate and astute.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Regions this role will work closely with the Regional Management Accounting team and Finance Business Partner Regions to ensure that key stakeholder business objectives are being met in a consistent and proactive manner.
This role requires a passion to actively support the team keeping mokopuna at the centre of everything we do.
Key attributes to be considered but not limited to, will include the following:
To be considered for the role you should have a relevant tertiary qualification; it’s advantageous to be CA or equivalent qualified or working towards this; and have experience in a large complex environment.
