Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to lead the ongoing growth of the Winseed portfolio in the Middle Eastern & North African regions. This growth is to be driven by our flagship hybrid crops of Carrot, Beetroot, Onion and Peas. The RSM – MENA will be responsible for maintaining the Winseed customer / distributor portfolio in the region, and growing the market share of our key crops with new and existing customers. Regional placement of RSM is open for negotiation within MENA. Lead generation and product development both form key parts of the role, along with the outlined sales parameters.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all sales activity, opportunities and leads are captured in the Microsoft dynamics CRM module
Maintain month by month budgeting, forecasting and reporting for the sales and costs of the region, Ie travel costs, marketing expenses and promotional events
Grow sales, profitability and market share of the Winseed products in local and international markets whist improving client relationship and satisfaction.
Work with Head of Sales and Business Development to develop regional growth plan, and brand strategy, per country for the region.
Organise and facilitate grower field days and promotional product displays to grow Winseed brand recognition.
Prepare and present the development of annual sales budgets and financial forecasts for your region. Monitor financial results to ensure targets are being met or exceed budgets along with KPI’s.
Maintain key brand partners under our current exclusivity agreements
Candidate Profile
At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales and business development position (working in the MENA region is highly desired)
Proven track record of financial success, including budgeting and forecasting
Experience in international sales and marketing in the seed industry
Knowledge of the global vegetable seed market and technical competencies to answer demands from customers
An open minded, fast thinking and dynamic attitude
Fluency in both English and Arabic is desirable
Master’s degree in agriculture or commercial fields very advantageous
