The Team: What we do

The Wellbeing, Health and Safety team works alongside Managers to advise and support the workforce, in all aspects of Wellbeing, Occupational Health and Safety.

Our team provides advice to managers and employees on all aspects of managing illness and absence from work, as well as leading a wide variety of projects and initiatives to support on Wellbeing, Health and Safety best practice.

The Role: Where you fit in

The Health and Wellbeing Nurse is responsible for working with the Wellbeing Health and Safety team and across all stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise to the planning and delivery of an annual programme of work focused on the health and welling for our people.

This is an exciting role based at Greymouth Hospital and working with the wider People and Capability team at the West Coast DHB. The role will report to the Health and Wellbeing Manager in Christchurch and you will receive support from the team so this role will include occasional travel to Christchurch.

You will have a driver’s licence as travel will be required within the West Coast to rural areas. A background or interest in Occupational Health will be an advantage. You will hold or be willing to become an authorised vaccinator as that is a critical part of the role for which training will be provided.

This position is 20 hours a week preferred to be working over five days but negotiable for the right candidate.
