We are a Ministry with a commitment to putting children and young people at the heart of everything we do and say. We have opportunities available for people to join our casual pool of youth workers that may be required to work across our three different locations as part of our Residential Community Services Auckland operation to help mentor and support young people.
Community Residential Services Auckland provides homely environments focused on achieving positive change in the lives of rangatahi. Our team is dedicated to improving outcomes for those in our care and helping them realise their potential.
As a Youth Worker you facilitate the integration of rangatahi back into the community by successfully delivering innovative program’s including education, therapeutic interventions, life and social skills development.
You will look for new opportunities to inspire others, make connections and build relationships based on trust and respect.

In return we offer:
• hourly rate of up to $20.55 (based on skills and experience) + holiday pay
• a good induction program
• on-going training in areas such as health and safety and behavioural management techniques
As a casual you may be called upon to work a shift during the period Monday to Sunday, from 6.30am to 11.00pm. On some occasions we may ask you to work outside of these hours. You may be asked to work more than one day in a row. Because our casual pool provides support when relief is required you may be called upon at short notice.
We are looking for people who can work well with children and young people in a caring and responsible way.
You will need to have a full, clean, NZ driver’s licence and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
As this role works with children and young people you will need to be able to pass police vetting and safety checks (The Clean Slate Act does not apply).
