About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Resolutions Analyst to join the Immigration Resolutions Team, Enablement Group, Immigration New Zealand (INZ).
The Immigration Resolutions Team is responsible for providing Ministers and senior officials within INZ and the Ministry with accurate objective and timely information, analysis and advice, in order to support their decision-making on complex immigration cases and issues.
The two 12 month fixed term/secondment positions are within the Ministerials Team. The permanent position and 6 month fixed term/secondment position are within the Deportations Team. However, depending on workloads you may be required to assist other parts of the Immigrations Resolutions Team.
The Deportations Team work on cases where resident class visa holders are potentially liable for deportation. Deportation liability can arise due to many situations and it is the job of the deportations team to manage this process. The Ministerials Team work on requests made to the Associate Minister of Immigration, regarding their immigration status. Often the request is for a visa as an exception to immigration instructions.
Resolutions analysts within the Ministerials and Deportation teams write case reports for decision makers which provides them with all the information they need to make a decision on an individual immigration case.
