Full Time, Permanent, Otara / Manukau Youth Court

We’re looking for an experienced Administrator to join our Otara Youth Justice Team to provide support services to the team and Manukau Youth Court. The position will be based in our Otara Office; however you will be expected to work from the Manukau Youth Court as required.


About us:
We are a new Ministry with a commitment to putting at risk tamariki and young people at the heart of everything we do and say. This new environment provides the opportunity to do things differently.


Our Youth Justice Team works with young people aged 12 to 18 years who have offended or are at risk of re-offending. As a Resource Assistant you will gather and provide information to clients and colleagues, assist in managing client financial and action plans, record keeping our information systems database and writing reports. You will also represent the Ministry at the Manukau Youth Court and will need to be able to engage well with different stakeholders and use your initiative to resolve issues as they arise.

A successful candidate will have:

  • a high level of competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • strong relationship building skills and experience dealing with members of the public
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong organisational, planning and time management skills
  • a clean, current full driver’s licence is required
