Advisory is an exciting and challenging environment, which enables our global specialist knowledge to offer various service lines to our clients.The opportunity:This is newly created internal facing role in our Consulting team, where you’ll ensure that client engagement processes are completed in accordance with KPMG risk policies and procedures. You’ll be our subject matter expert making sure that our national Consulting team is compliant with those internal risk management practices. We’re open to this role being based in Wellington or Auckland.Day to day you will:Monitor client engagements/opportunities for the Consulting team and communicate the results to the individual teams Analyse risk findings to enhance risk assessment, monitoring and mitigationCheck key risk approvals are in place before engagements are executed & identify engagements where risk approvals will be expiring soonSupport senior leaders with complex issues and share best practicesContribute ideas and recommendations for focus areas to continuously improveEnsure that Risk checklists are completed, approved and filed appropriately for engagements that are being closedWhat you’ll bring to the team:Previous project coordination/analysis experience will allow you to proactively manage and assess areas effectivelyAbility to build meaningful relationships and influence others – you’ll be collaborating with a wide range of people across the team so you’ll also be comfortable resolving conflictBe highly organised and be able to manage multiple priorities An understanding of and interest in policies and processes to make sure we’re meeting requirements first timeStrong internal client service focus and interpersonal skillsA high level of attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team environment and provide meaningful support to senior team membersWith current border and quarantine restrictions in place, KPMG New Zealand are unable to consider applications from candidates that do not currently have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
