We’re on the hunt for a Sales Operations Manager to support our commercial team with sales operations across NZME print, radio and digital platforms in Whanganui.

This is a critical role for our team to ensure they have the sales tools, resources and processes to operate seamlessly. You will apply your planning and organising skills to assist with all aspects of the production and creative process including layouts for our community newspapers, making radio proposals and you’ll have the ability to understand how to upsell revenue gaps.


  • Content and client liaison – Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on advertising booking, layout and placement options.
  • Creative process – Assist with the design of layouts across community titles. 
  • Radio proposals
  • Sales support and administration – Organise ad production and admin required by the advertising managers and implement initiatives to improve communication and workflow.
  • Assist with driving ad revenue – Enable the team to deliver on their sales targets by providing top-notch support and recognise revenue ideas and opportunities.

  • Ideally you will have a relevant degree in media, marketing or sales
  • Ideally you will bring at least 1-2 years of media experience to the role
  • Graphic design experience would be highly beneficial – including Adobe InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to multitask, manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • You’ll be an effective communicator with strong relationship building skills
  • You’ll be a team player with a can-do attitude
