About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a permanent retail Salesperson to join our Invercargill store. This is a part time position, hours per week Tuesday to Saturday.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional sales and customer service skills to our Shareholders and Customers
  • Collaborate with key areas of business e.g.: Sales, Inventory Controllers, Category, Card, Fuel
  • Develop product knowledge in rural retail to include categories like apparel, fencing, animal health, horticulture
  • Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of product using our Microsoft based computer system.
  • Support your team members in maintaining great retail standards
  • Skills & Experience

    Retail and/or customer services experience is preferred. Administrative skills would also serve you well in being able to efficiently assist with stock administration tasks on a daily basis.

    Other skills:

  • Forklift licence (preferred, however full training provided)
  • Physically fit – can work on your feet all day and comfortable lifting & carrying stock
  • Technology savvy – can operate POS and a Microsoft based computer system
  • This role would suit somebody who has a genuine enjoyment connecting with people to provide solutions, is warm, empathetic and keen to learn and grow. Full training will be provided.
