The Parliamentary Security Group has recently undergone a significant review and change management programme, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to fill this newly created position.

The Security Lead – Project Management & Maintenance plays an integral role within the Security Group, who are collectively responsible for providing 24 hours per day, 7 days per week security services to members of Parliament, staff, contractors, stakeholders, visitors, and customers who work within and visit New Zealand’s Parliament. This includes providing security services at the Electorate & Community Offices which are located throughout New Zealand.

Reporting to the Security Manager – Systems & Enablement, this key role will be responsible for leading physical security related projects, and required to work closely with the Buildings and Safety team on all building related projects that require security specific advice and support. In addition to this, you will oversee and manage contractor management access to the Parliamentary Precincts in close collaboration with the Buildings and Safety team. You will have responsibility for developing business cases for approval, managing spend and assisting with tender documents. You will also closely manage the relationship with existing and future security suppliers and stakeholders to ensure KPIs are delivered. As the subject matter expert of security service delivery, you will provide advice and analysis on physical security systems and technology.
