Reporting to the Head of Aircraft Programmes, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team, where you will manage the financial functions & responsibilities relating to Air NZ Aircraft Programmes, including new aircraft and upgrade of existing aircraft. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of the airline and delivering new passenger experiences on our new fleet.
Working closely with Senior Leaders, you will provide support on all finance/analysis issues and be responsible for development, tracking & reporting of Aircraft Programme budgets. Day to day you will proactively influence the Aircraft Programme’s Team & related Airline teams to improve business profitability via cost efficiencies, optimisation of existing resources the identification of value adding initiatives and the control of key projects.
You will have a high level of expertise in financial analysis, manipulation of large complex data sets and interpretation, together with a sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the desire to be part of a dynamic high-performance team where exceeding expectations is expected. You’ll also have demonstrated experience in process re-engineering of existing accounting processes and procedures to eliminate unimportant activities.
To be successful in this role you will be degree qualified in Accounting (and ideally CA or equivalent qualified) with at least five years commercial and analytical postgraduate experience. You will be an advanced user of Excel and possess the ability to develop strong relationships and to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
