The DDX team will be experts in their fields, working to improve the value and impact of compliance work through standardising technology and exploring data analytics and new technology. The opportunity: Due to growth in the local market, we are looking for a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join our team in Ashburton, where you will have the opportunity to coach and mentor a team of accounting professionalsThis role will give you the opportunity to ‘own’ the delivery of DDX work and contribute to the resolution of complex compliance accounting and tax issues that result in client satisfactionTravel to Ashburton will be a requirement within the role We will consider part-time hours for this position (20 – 30 per week) Day to day you will: Oversee and undertake the preparation of a wide range of financial requirements of varying complexityAssisting with data gathering and knowledge transferDeliver quality technical compliance work, and support the development of others within the team in the delivery of this workFormulate solutions to client problems and issuesContribute to the high performance of the team by suggesting innovations (technical & process) to enhance the delivery & value of technical compliance workSupport leadership team in building high performing team culture and mind set within the DDXWhat you’ll bring to our team: 3+ years of relevant professional experienceCA ANZ or CPA membership or relevant overseas professional body (preferred) Significant and varied experience as a Senior Accountant Competent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and accounting systemsExperienced in team leadershipExcellent communication skillsStrong organisational/time management skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsProfessional approach to work and strong client focusWith current border and quarantine restrictions in place, KPMG New Zealand are unable to consider applications from candidates that do not currently have the right to live and work in New Zealand. To be legally entitled to work in New Zealand, you should be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa.
