The Global Development and Scholarships Division provides scholarships strategy, policy, guidelines and the programme infrastructure for New Zealand’s renowned Scholarships programme and is responsible for overseeing and administering them.
We’re looking for an experienced and skilful Senior Adviser to manage contracts and the supplier relationships needed to deliver five New Zealand scholarships schemes.
In this exciting and fast-paced role, you’ll need to build strong relationships with our suppliers at a senior level and manage a wide range of contracts and procurement activities. You will also maintain records and process payments, as required, through our online contracts management system.
We’re looking for someone who is energetic and proactive. We need someone who takes a strategic approach to their work and is able to recognise key business and service delivery challenges and find solutions. We need someone who is comfortable focusing on the detail.
To be successful in this role you’ll need at least five years’ experience in a related role and significant expertise and experience in the development and implementation of tactical plans and sourcing strategies.
You’ll need proven contract negotiation expertise and the ability to maximise benefits and minimise risks with suppliers.
You must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate New Zealand Government security clearance.
