The opportunity: Working alongside key clients in Auckland, our Risk consulting team is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst or Assistant Manager, where you’ll get a birds eye view of some of the key issues facing our clients in the ‘new normal’.You’ll collaborate with professionals from across the wider Consulting team, gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm, whilst working in a fast paced and energetic environment.Our teams work with boards and management to achieve optimal governance, risk and control environments that support organisations strategic and operational priorities.Day to day you will:Perform reviews over high profile projects across various sectors in New Zealand, focusing on risk management, process reviews and controlsManage the overall scoping, execution and delivery on a variety of internal audits as well as risk consulting projectsUse data to analyse trends, patterns and identify risks in processesProvide practical recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business processes, systems and organisationPartner with technical subject matter experts to develop fit for purpose risk and control solutionsParticipate in the career and performance development of junior team members by supervising their workBuild the reputation of KPMG through the quality of your work, expertise and judgement as well as innovative approachesWhat you’ll bring to our team:Relevant risk and assurance/ internal audit experienceThe ability to analyse information quickly and efficiently, using innovative and creative solutions to solve problems.Oral and written communication is a key strength, including highly developed report writing along with planning, project management, relationship building, networking and influencing skillsA positive and flexible attitude and an enthusiasm to embrace new challenges and growth opportunities to gain experienceBe comfortable with ambiguity and have the confidence to solve problems and to fill gaps in knowledge by questioning, collaborating with others and researching technical and contractual documentationExperience within the Financial Services industry is preferredWith current border and quarantine restrictions in place, KPMG New Zealand are unable to consider applications from candidates that do not currently have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
