The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a government agency whose purpose is to mobilise New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use.
This role will join our Strategy and Programme Development team, which designs and develops programmes to increase energy efficiency, renewables and emissions reduction. This role has a particular focus on the building sector as it relates to our strategic focus areas of energy efficient homes and government leadership.
A key part of the role will be drawing on your technical knowledge and experience of building energy efficiency in representing EECA’s interests with other government and non-government organisations to help us improve the energy efficiency of the built environment.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a collaborative working style with a drive to deliver results.
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in building science, engineering, sustainable design or energy management. You will have proven experience and knowledge of energy efficiency in buildings.
