Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team: 

The Ministry of Health is the lead Public Health agency on the national COVID-19 response and has established the COVID-19 Health System Response Directorate to provide oversight of all activities contributing to the Ministry’s COVID-19 response.  

The functions within the Directorate work in close collaboration with each other, across the Ministry and the wider All of government response.

The Testing Operations team implements the COVID-19 testing strategy through the management of the testing work programme across border and community settings, provides updated operational policies and assistance that will provide guidance to those who need to deploy testing (e.g DHBs), monitor and record testing data.

 

Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga – What is the purpose of this position? 

The Senior Advisor is responsible for providing advice to support, maintain and improve the delivery of the COVID-19 Testing Operations workstream. You will lead the effective implementation of key pieces of work and operate in a collaborative manner working with various teams across the Ministry.

To be successful in this position, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, bring solid working knowledge of the machinery of the government as well as previous experience providing high quality advice, support and oversight to ensure stakeholders and managers are fully informed.
