The State Services Commission (SSC) leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.

Our agency, which houses the Office of the Head of State Services, sets the course, role models what good looks like, and leads the system to deliver the results and services that matter to New Zealanders.

As the Senior Advisor Events Management and Stakeholder Engagement you will be responsible for planning and organising multiple events and engagement processes for the State Services Commission and the Public Service Fale. The Public Service Fale is a newly created team working across a diverse and ambitious work programme in support of Pacific Public Service Commissioners. It will be a new business unit at the New Zealand State Services Commission.   

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small agile, dynamic team undertaking challenging, varied and interesting work in a collaborative and inclusive working environment.

You will be experienced in events management, communications and stakeholder engagement with excellent organisation and logistics skills and ideally have insight into the cultures, context and languages of Pacific peoples.  

Your ability to deliver results and effectively manage relationships will enable you to build connections across different stakeholder networks.

This a fixed term role or secondment extending to 30 September 2020.

This position usually pays between $92,560 to $121,485 depending on skills and experience.
