Senior Advisor – Science – Science System Investment and Performance Branch
Science System Investment and Performance
The Science System Investment and Performance (SSIP) branch makes, manages, assesses and advises on scientific investments to meet New Zealand’s economic, social and environmental goals.
Within the branch we are in a period of growth and the roles available are a mix of permanent and fixed term (or secondment) full time roles.
MBIE is aiming to strengthen its delivery of Vision Mātauranga, and candidates with knowledge and experience in this area are encouraged to apply for these positions.
We work collaboratively within the branch, with other teams in MBIE, other Government agencies, and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We recognise a common set of branch values that promote a positive culture that values people, integrity, knowledge, accountability and collaboration. Diversity is highly valued and managers work hard to ensure that all staff are given opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and expertise.
Reporting to the Chief Science Advisor and providing advice support and guidance across MBIE we are looking for a Senior Advisor to work with our Science team to support and lead overall science policy at MBIE.
