System Strategy and Policy leads, enables and supports public service excellence by providing timely, high-quality advice, to Ministers, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the wider Ministry. The Office of the Deputy Director-General supports this by providing organisational thought leadership and governance support.
We are looking for an energetic, hard-working person to work in this great directorate, providing governance advice and support to to the DD-G, the Manager of the Office of the Deputy Director General, the Senior Leadership Team and wider staff, and work to support, maintain and improve the delivery of quality written advice and work programmes.
To be successful, we are looking for a person with relevant experience and knowledge, strong written and oral communication skills, excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to think ahead, use their initiative, meet deadlines, and lift quality. We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills and with the ability to foster good relationships.
The Ministry of Health is the kaitiaki of the health and disability system in New Zealand.
