Our People and Capability team, within the New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Advisor Health and Safety to join our busy team.
You will have worked across the health and safety function at a senior level of a medium to large sized organisation. Your extensive expertise in the health and safety area will be called upon daily providing specialist advice and leadership to managers and senior management.
Key to your success will be your ability to create collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, with a focus on creating a healthy and safe working environment.
Your strong relationship management and influencing skills will put you in good stead when building credibility with senior leaders and managers that you will be supporting in the continuous improvement of our health and safety framework. As a highly motivated individual with exceptional planning and organisational skills, the on-going monitoring of the effectiveness of our policies, systems, procedures and tools will assist in our focus of ensuring all of our team go home each day healthy and safe.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
