About the role.

This new role will fulfil a critical function in INZ’s new I&E team. As Senior Advisor you will work closely with INZ’s strategy, engagement, intelligence and insights teams to identify and map the needs of key migrant and employer audiences. You will work across the business to identify key information and education needs. You will support INZ managers and teams to develop effective information & education interventions.

Skills and experience required:

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Sound experience in one (or more) of – external communications, marketing, learning and development and behavioural sciences.
  • A strong customer-focus and an understanding of delivering initiatives thorough a range of information & education channels.
  • A proven ability to forge and manage relationships and using negotiation skills to influence outcomes.
  • The ability to think strategically and laterally about current and future issues, risks and opportunities.
  • An understanding business process design and analysis, risk management, systems thinking, business planning and benefits realisation.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and establish collaborative working relationships inside and outside the organisation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive and comparable relevant experience.


About the team:

The Information & Education (I&E) team sits in the Strategy Engagement & Education branch of Immigration New Zealand. The team was established in September 2019.  The role of the I&E team is to deliver high-quality information and education resources to help migrants and other key stakeholders engage with the immigration system and support migrants to integrate into New Zealand society.
