At Stats NZ, we re passionate about building on our high-performance culture … and we re looking for an experienced Senior Advisor Organisational Development to help us do just that.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Organisational Development (OD) and People Capability team bringing together our organisational development and people capability specialists to better align and integrate our organisational and people capability development strategies.

In this role you ll be working alongside the People and Capability team and across Stats NZ to design and implement practical, sustainable and effective OD initiatives aligned with Stats NZ s organisational strategy and capability building initiatives.

To achieve great outcomes in this role you ll bring:

  • An OD or HR qualification and or significant experience working as an OD specialist
  • Up to date knowledge of theory and good practice in organisational development, culture transformation and organisational assessment.
  • A track record in delivering successful, practical organisational development projects and supporting major organisational change.
  • Influencing skills across an organisation, and the confidence and ability to build and sustain relationships to achieve results.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of strategic OD perspectives and the values and norms that underpin them.

Ideally, you ll also have some project -management experience and an interest or experience in statistical and data analytics.

  • Activity Based Working  – designing our environments to support activities and the values of our people
  • Employee Engagement Measuring and tracking employee experience and giving our people a voice
