You will bring your varied work history and good understanding of how the public sector operates to this role and will preferably have some understanding of the New Zealand business environment. You will be someone who can turn a hand to anything. You will work across systems, organisations and sectors to turn out quality advice and outcomes.
You will focus on:
Key requirements to be successful in this role:
A large portion of your work programme will be self-directed, so the ability to own it and to work things through to get results is a must.
You recognise the value of mahi tahi and constantly bring people together to collaborate.
Your ability to build our future, both internally and across businesses and government.
A versatile skill set, with an aptitude for innovation, and an operating style that is bold and brave.
An exceptional communicator who has the ability to synthesise complex information with ease.
What you’ll get in return
At MBIE, we look after our people. In this role you will have a supportive and engaged authorising environment and great peers and colleagues. Your home base will be our policy team, with a supportive and capable manager.
The high level of trust and autonomy in this role will mean no two days are the same. Your broad scope means you will develop excellent relationships and networks in our organisation, across the system, and most importantly with New Zealand’s small business community.
We also offer a competitive salary, flexible work conditions and will invest in growing your capability.
