Within People & Wellbeing (P&W) as we continue to evolve our HR operating model to realise our aspirations, an exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Advisor to the Chief People Officer (CPO).

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the CPO is well-informed and you will raise the level of dialogue and interactions for consultation and advice on strategic and operational people issues and decisions.  Your strong focus on collaboration and engagement will be coupled with your excellent ability to provide high-quality, timely and trusted advice.  You be highly skilled in the analysis of situations with the ability to review and develop thinking on a wide-range of people issues.

You will bring proven decision making skills, be an effective trouble-shooter and an invaluable sound board.  You will be comfortable operating in ambiguity and change and have a great ability to tackle a problem head on and be creative with solutions and resources.  With excellent communication skills and the proven ability to influence you are someone who is committed to delivering outstanding results.

Delivery on the following broad areas of responsibility:

  • Working collaboratively to ensure the effective leadership, management and coordination of customer orientated operational and transactional P&W issues
  • Bring a high level strategic overview and help give context to decisions to the provision of strategic people and wellbeing leadership
  • Identify and monitor key people themes, issues, risks and outputs and provide the CPO with assurance and advice that these matters are being effectively managed
  • Represent the intentions of the CPO by communicating intentions and by providing advice and guidance
  • Analyse information and prepare correspondence and papers for a wide range of audiences
  • Undertake special projects as required and develop and improve people related policies, guidelines, procedures, and tools
  • Work with other parts of the Treasury to lift performance and risk and governance excellence
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, coaching and quality assurance
