The team turns data and information into valuable insights which are used to support our engagement with tertiary education organisations, employers, and communities. You will be the link between the data and the customer facing teams, developing and utilising our extensive data sets to produce meaningful insights that improve outcomes of the tertiary education sector.

You will also need to be inquisitive and passionate about using data to understand our customers and to ensure we make the best possible investment decisions.  


What will you be doing?

  • Analysing, packaging and summarising data from internal and external sources, both proactively and reactively.
  • Leading key pieces of work and projects for the team, ensuring effective delivery of advice and analytical solutions.
  • Working across the business, building networks, collaborating and influencing to get the job done. 
  • Reviewing and responding to Ministerial and Official Information Act correspondence.

What will you bring to the role?

  • An understanding of data warehouse structures and reporting tools is a must, in particular strong Excel and SQL skills.
  • Experience utilising varied data sets to produce insights. You will be able to use quantitative and qualitative data alongside your ability to understand what customers need to produce meaningful insights.
  • The ability to work across internal and external teams to source data, information and requirements.
  • Emotional intelligence, initiative and the confidence to work independently.
  • Experience at a senior level being the link between customers and the data.
