The opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Reporting team.  Working as part of the reporting team you will provide reporting on a range of requests including: iRequests, Parliamentary questions, Media requests, OIAs and requests from the across the Ministry.

 

An overview of your responsibilities:

  • Extract, validate, format and analyse information and data.
  • Always be thinking about the customers needs and ensure the commissioning of work is clearly defined.  
  • Have details conversation with stakeholders to gain a solid understating their needs.
  • Ability to take complex datasets and convert into reports which can be used to make informed decisions.
  • Provide high quality analysis, advice and recommendations to ensure the best level of service is achieved.

 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experienced in investigating and analysing problems and reaching sound conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate data and generate high quality reports.
  • Has in depth experience in analysing data from multiple sources.
  • Have a customer centric working style and always strive to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Ability to analyse data using the appropriate tools and ideally have experience with SAS.
  • Proactively demonstrates leadership among peers that fosters a strong team culture.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly in broad range of settings i.e. one to one or presentation style with a range of audiences.
  • Provides mentoring to support both existing and newly recruited analysts.
