Our vaccines business is one of the largest in the world. We produce paediatric and adult vaccines for a range of infectious diseases. In New Zealand our vaccines portfolio helps prevent illnesses such as hepatitis, rotavirus and HPV infections, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella, influenza and invasive meningococcal disease.

Due to a promotion we have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Brand Manager within our vaccines team. This role is of critical strategic importance to the GSK New Zealand business and will see you taking a lead role in shaping, developing and executing the “go to market” strategy for a significant and strategically important vaccines product.

Reporting into the Business Unit Head for Vaccines the Senior Brand Manager will have over-arching responsibility for the successful launch of a new vaccine into the New Zealand market.

Your responsibilities will be broad and will include:

  • Developing and implementing a robust, innovative and multichannel product launch and marketing plan for both private and funded markets that will differentiate the brand and drive long term uptake.
  • Taking on a leadership role managing cross functional project teams with local, regional and global teams.
  • Developing your understanding of the vaccines market including the competitor landscape.
  • Developing marketing and sales strategies which support and enable the GSK NZ business to deliver annual sales and profit and strategic objectives.
  • Making an active contribution to the financial performance of GSK NZ including: accurate forecasting and budget management.
  • Developing a multichannel and impactful disease awareness campaign to help drive consumer awareness.
  • We are looking for an experienced marketer with strategic agility and demonstrated influencing skills as this role involves a wide range of internal and external stakeholder management in a complex matrix environment.

    In addition to this you will have:

  • Significant pharmaceutical brand marketing experience, including experience utilising multichannel and digital promotion tools and strategies.
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing plans for new product/ commercialisation projects.
  • Strong levels of commercial and financial acumen and experience in a complex, matrix environment.
  • An applied understanding of the NZ healthcare/pharmaceutical and reimbursement landscape.
